Meet Adam

I’m Adam Parsons, and I’m running to to represent our Ward 1 on the Franklin County Democratic Central Committee. I’m running for Central Committee to be a strong voice for the South Side. My wife and I live on E. Morrill Ave., where we’re busy renovating a duplex we share with my brother and his wife. I work in IT at The Ohio State University and have a passion for making our neighborhood, our city, and our country better places to work and to live.

I love our neighborhood, and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Like anywhere, we have problems, though, and they’re problems that can’t be solved by a one-size-fits all approach to politics. We need different things than Clintonville, or Downtown, or Franklinton.

I’m running because I want to see our neighborhood improved for those of us who are here now. Other neighborhoods – the Short North, the Near East Side– have been developed in ways that pushed out longtime residents. I don’t want to see that happen here.

I’m a member of a coalition of people from around Columbus who share my ideas about how we can build a city that works for all of us, not just the wealthy, and we’ll work together to bring that vision to our Democratic Party. Please consider voting for me as your representative to the Central Committee.
