My name is Christine Happel and I am a member of Yes We Can Columbus. I am running for the 9th Ward seat for the Franklin County Democratic Party's Central Committee. Before moving to and becoming involved in the Franklinton neighborhood, I lived and worked in Weinland Park. For the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of working alongside neighbors to strengthen our communities in meaningful and lasting ways. I am a social worker and am interested in living in a city that views its residents as its biggest strength and provides opportunity for all. I value the voice of my neighbors, new and old, and want to work to ensure their voices will be heard.

 

I am also an avid cyclist and I enjoy dancing, gardening, and meeting people from all backgrounds and walks of life. It would be my privilege to represent Ward 9 and I look forward to having conversations with residents about ways to better our community and the City of Columbus.
